These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AdaKanisa platform. By registering for or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

AdaKanisa is a church management platform that allows churches to manage members, events, donations, attendance, sermons, and more. Each church receives its own isolated account and subdomain on the platform.

2. Account Registration

To use AdaKanisa, your church must be registered on the platform by a platform administrator. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use AdaKanisa to:

• Store or transmit unlawful, harmful, or offensive content
• Violate the privacy of individuals whose data you enter into the platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other churches' data
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the platform or its code
• Use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate church administration

4. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the platform, including member records, donation data, and church content. We do not claim ownership of your data. You may export your data at any time.

5. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that you have lawful authority to store personal data about your congregation members in the platform. This includes obtaining any necessary consents under applicable data protection laws in your country.

6. Service Availability

We aim to keep the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or emergency fixes that temporarily affect availability. We will give reasonable notice where possible.

7. Platform Changes

We reserve the right to add, change, or remove features from the platform at any time. We will communicate significant changes to active account holders.

8. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate a church account if we reasonably believe the account is being used in violation of these Terms, or if payment obligations (where applicable) are not met. We will provide notice before termination except in cases of serious violation.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon closure, we will delete your data within 30 days unless legally required to retain it.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, AdaKanisa is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including data loss, service interruptions, or errors in records. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify account holders by email when significant changes are made. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
